Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I do it?
Yes you can! Learning to navigate the airways can seem overwhelming, almost like learning a new language. We are here to walk you through each step and help you acclimate along the way.
How long does it take?
That’s entirely up to you, but we recommend you keep at a steady pacein order to stay current with what you’ve been learning. The FAA requires a minimum of 40 hours instruction for attaining a private pilot’s license. However, most students need a bit more to feel proficient. The national average is 60 hours of instruction, but no matter what, we will make sure you feel competent and safe as a pilot!
How much does it cost?
Cost varies depending on which plane is your main instruction aircraft. You can determine which plane makes the most sense for you by speaking with a flight instructor to determine your flying goals. FlyDuluth will soon be able to accept the GI Bill in order to supplement training costs as well. Speak with an instructor today to talk specifically about YOUR plan.
